TURTLE SKULL

Merging the light, the organic, the ecstatic with the monolithic, the fuzzy, the droney, Turtle Skull have forged a reputation around their signature ‘flower doom’ sound. Drawing on diverse influences from Sleep and Black Mountain to Dungen and Bright Black Morning Light, the band aim to create an immersive and transformative experience.

In 2020 Turtle Skull released three singles, two accompanying videos, and their much-anticipated follow up album ‘Monoliths’. Unlike the spontaneous approach to the first, this piece is the product of a more carefully considered process. It’s everything the first record is and more - heavier riffs, deeper emotion, and the intricacies of a fully developed concept.

After a short rest during Covid, Turtle Skull are preparing to return to the stage with renewed energy and a chance to bring Monoliths to life for their fans.

{{black:rainbow}}

Ritual offering of smoke, noise and devotion. Since their ghostly conception in 2017 {{black:rainbow}} have performed in various underground locations throughout Australia, typically by circulating cryptic handwritten invitations and word of mouth networks alone. Through their carefully themed and curated happenings, and boundary blurring performance and ritual collaborations, they have been fostering a growing cult following throughout Melbourne, Northern NSW and Brisbane.

under the red tent, into the howling moonlight, we were birthed into an earthly smoke... offering our souls grief into the deep hole... trembling hollow...we'll bring our deepest darkness to meet your light... show you the twilight we create together... the crack between worlds... it is so beautiful…

GREYHOUND

Greyhound uncovers an Australian Gothic sound which is totally theirs. Think Slint in Snowtown. Their mostly instrumental music shimmering until it explodes into apocalyptic heaviness, the sky breaking open above them - letting a little bit of light in.

Greyhound released their debut album “Dennis Exists” on 30 April 2021 digitally and on vinyl - sharing a collection of music that is somewhat cathartic, sometimes serene, and a celebration of birth and decay of the Australian landscape.

BLACK ALEPH

Featuring Lachlan R. Dale (Hashshashin, Adrift For Days) on guitar and Timothy Johannessen (Mehr Ensemble) on daf, Black Aleph marry traditional Persian instrumentation with guitar resonance and loops. The result is a hypnotic, earth-shaking exploration of ritual doom and Eastern drone.
